"From the Frühlingsplätzchen (or slate and quartzite soils) and vinified in large oak until April of this year, the 2018 Weissburgunder Trocken –S– offers a clear, intense and elegant, wonderfully toasty bouquet with stony/mineral and some nougat aromas. Full-bodied and intense on the concentrated palate, this is a powerful but also expressive and persistent mineral Pinot Blanc with a lingering mineral and salty expression, and there are some nutty features that remind me of Chablis. Excellent. Tasted in July 2019."
